Delco campus is renamed Penn State Brandywine

It's time to change the Rolodex and e-mail contacts: Penn State Delaware County is now Penn State Brandywine. The trustees approved the name change at the 40-year-old campus in Middletown Township on Friday. Officials were tired of the college's being confused with others with Delaware in their names, and wanted to recognize the growing number of students from outside the county. The college, which offers 10 four-year and three two-year degree programs, serves about 1,700 students. It is one of more than two dozen campuses in the Penn State system. - Mari A. Schaefer
