Two men were shot - one fatally - in the backs of their heads yesterday as they sat in a Dodge minivan in Kensington, police said.

The victims were in the driver's and front passenger seats, indicating that the shooter was in the back, said Sgt. Ray Evers.

Detectives were trying to identify the two men yesterday. The driver, who died, was described as a black male in his mid-30s. The passenger was described as a Latino male in his early to mid-20s.

The shooting occurred about 9:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Boudinot Street. A SEPTA police officer found the minivan with a sliding door opened, and the two victims inside.

Both men were taken to Temple University Hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead at 10:02 a.m.

Police reported no arrests.
