Bucks woman gets 3 to 6 years for fatal DUI
A Bucks County woman who was driving under the influence when her car swerved into the oncoming lane and killed a motorcyclist faces three to six years in state prison.
Brenda Nauroth, 48, pleaded guilty Monday to homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and other charges. Bucks County Court Judge Rea Boylan also sentenced her to five years of probation. She must perform 25 hours of community service giving talks about drunken driving.
Nauroth's car crossed the center line on Route 313 in Richland Township on July 21 and collided with two motorcycles. One rider, Michael Fayewicz, 51, of Warminster, was thrown 40 feet and killed. The other, William Erb, 74, also of Warminster, was seriously injured.
