PennDot will detail three I-95 projects
Reconstruction of I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia and the rebuilding of two key interchanges will be explained by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials at a public meeting on Thursday.
The meeting, at Frankford High School at Oxford Avenue and Wakeling Street from 6 to 8 p.m., is to solicit public comment on plans to rebuild interchanges at Bridge Street and Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue.
PennDot will also present its preliminary plans for rebuilding a three-mile stretch of I-95 between Cottman Avenue and the Betsy Ross Bridge.
Preliminary engineering is to be completed late this year, with final design scheduled for completion in 2012, when construction is to start.
