Two Philadelphia men died early yesterday from injuries in separate shootings in different parts of the city on Saturday.

Ortiz had been there since police, responding to a report of a shooting, found him lying in the doorway of a home in the 3300 block of A Street in Kensington just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Ortiz had been shot in the neck, police said.

Yesterday morning, police said, they arrested David Morales, 20, of the 900 block of West Sterner Street on charges of murder, possessing an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, and other offenses. They did not disclose a motive.

In the other case, Nathanial Nash, 19, of the 2500 block of North 17th Street in North Philadelphia, was shot multiple times in the left leg and torso about 11:40 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of North Dover Street in North Philadelphia, police said.

Nash was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:09 a.m. Police said they know of no motive in that shooting.
