Lansdowne boy admits fatally stabbing brother

A 14-year-old Lansdowne boy admitted to voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of his older brother.

Jahmir Ricks, whose case was transferred to juvenile court earlier this month, stabbed his 16-year-old brother, Antwan, after they fought over a video game last July.

Ricks' admission Tuesday was equivalent to a guilty plea in adult court. A judge will determine his sentence at a hearing June 5, said Assistant District Attorney Michael Mattson. Ricks faces a maximum of seven years of supervision until he reaches age 21.
