Guilty plea in death of Cherry Hill mother
A Lindenwold man pleaded guilty in Superior Court yesterday to the stabbing death of a 39-year-old Cherry Hill woman, who was found dead in her bedroom after she did not answer her alarm clock. Shaun M. Brown, 20, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the March 2006 death of Rasheeda McEady, a mother of three who operated a day-care center in Lindenwold. Brown faces a 20-year sentence. Neighbors said Brown was dating the victims's 16-year-old daughter at the time, and he had been living in McEady's Perot Avenue home before her death. Police said Brown sexually assaulted McEady and stabbed her in the neck. At the time, he was on probation for sexual assault and conspiracy to commit robbery. - Troy Graham
