A driver was killed when his van went out of control on southbound I-95 in Bensalem shortly before 5 a.m. yesterday, state police at the Trevose barracks reported.

The 49-year-old man, whose identity was not released, was taken to Frankford Hospital-Torresdale Campus.

His 2003 Dodge Caravan was approaching the Philadelphia city line in the left lane when he lost control, police said.

The van crossed the three lanes of traffic, hit the right guardrail, veered left across the three lanes again, hit the concrete barrier, and came to a halt in the left lane, police said.
