Ten days after issuing a murder warrant for a Philadelphia fugitive, detectives said yesterday that a second suspect had been charged with a 2006 Coatesville homicide.
Eric W. Coxry, 31, of Philadelphia, who was in custody on an unrelated case, was arraigned by video from the Somerset state prison, detectives said.
Members of the Coatesville Murder Task Force said they were still seeking Jeremiah Bush, 22, whom they described as potentially dangerous, particularly because he rejected a recent opportunity to surrender through his attorney.
Detectives said both men face charges of homicide and related offenses in the Oct. 21, 2006, slaying of Jonas L. Suber, 33, of Coatesville. Suber was shot eight times when he answered a knock at his door on Walnut Street. He was taken to Brandywine Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about two hours later, police said.
Bush, who also is known as Hanif Murphy, lived in the 5300 block of Tabor Road in Philadelphia, but has ties to the Coatesville and West Chester areas, detectives said.
Anyone with information on Bush's whereabouts is being asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Fugitive Unit at 215-686-3068.
