A 37-year-old North Philadelphia man was gunned down at a convenience store Saturday night, and police yesterday had no motive and no suspects for the killing.

Brian Way, of the 2500 block of Bouvier Street, was with his wife about 7:20 p.m. when they stopped their car outside Joselin's Grocery at the corner of 18th and Huntington.

Homicide Sergeant Tim Cooney said Way entered the store while his wife stayed in the car.

While is was in a lobby area at the front of the store, a man shot him multiple times in the upper body as customers fled the store. Way was pronounced dead at Temple University Medical Center a short time later.

There was no robbery involved, Cooney said, and there was only sketchy description of the suspect as a black male at least six feet tall.
