Police say bogus photographer charged with rape

A 36-year-old Delaware County man has been charged with raping a woman he met through a modeling Web site last week, police said.

A 36-year-old Delaware County man has been charged with raping a woman he met through a modeling Web site last week, police said.

Daimon Parrish of Rosemont was charged with rape and related offenses in connection with an alleged assault Dec. 21 in the basement of a chiropractor's office in King of Prussia.

The 20-year-old woman had posted herself on modelmayhem.com and was contacted through the site by Parrish, who called himself "Chance" and was posing as a photographer, police said.

The woman met Parrish on Dec. 18, a Friday, for an interview at a Jenkintown restaurant to discuss a photo shoot. He picked her up the following Monday and took her to Progressive Rehab, police said.

According to police, Parrish said he worked there, took her to the basement, which was outfitted with a massage table, and took photos of her, including some in which she was partially naked. He then raped her, police said.

Afterward, Parrish allegedly drove the woman to the train station in Jenkintown and again sexually assaulted her before letting her go. The woman called police from the train station.

Police interviewed the chiropractor who runs the office, and she told them that Parrish had worked for her until November 2008. He has had no permission to be inside the office since then, police said.

Police also interviewed a 22-year-old woman who had a massage performed by Parrish at the office in November 2008. She described being touched in a sexual manner by Parrish, who called himself "Chance," police said.

In May, Parrish pleaded guilty in Chester County to disorderly conduct for a 2008 incident and was ordered to stay away from all libraries in the county. He originally had been charged with lewd conduct.
