Meetings seek input on disasters

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency is seeking input on ways to prevent damage from natural and man-made calamities. Hazard Mitigation Outreach Sessions are being held statewide so government officials and the public can address proposed disaster solutions such as the "buyouts" of flood-risk homes, according to emergency management officials. The effort will be used to update the state's All-Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Two sessions in Pennsylvania's Southeast Region will be held April 29 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus Auditorium, 1175 Conshohocken Rd., Conshohocken. Because of bridge construction on Conshohocken Road, participants must use Ridge Road to access the campus on Conshohocken Road, Mains said.
