Man, 18, shot and killed on Catharine Street

An 18-year-old man was shot and killed Friday night on the 2200 block of Catharine Street in Southwest Center City, police said.

The man called police, who arrived to find him with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at 6:53 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, police said.

Police were trying to speak to witnesses but no arrests had been made.
