2 Delco men arrested on child pornography charges

Two Delaware County men have been arrested in separate cases on charges of possessing child pornography, the District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.

According to court documents, both men used a peer-to-peer file-sharing network.

Shane J. Murphy, 25, of Greenwood Street in Brookhaven, had 58 movies containing "apparent child pornography" on his computer, according to court documents.

Chris Macdonald, 34, of Buttonwood Drive in Springfield, had six movies containing "apparent child pornography" on his computer, the documents said. He was also charged with distribution of child pornography.

Both men turned themselves in to police, were arraigned in separate courts, and posted bail, according to the District Attorney's Office.

County Detective Lisa M. Carroll from the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit conducted both investigations.
