A Christmas shooting in Montgomery County has left one man dead, the District Attorney's Office announced.

Norristown police were called to the rear alley of a residence in the 100 block of Wayne Avenue at 4:40 p.m. They found Paul Brown, 24, in the driver's seat of his 1997 Buick with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at Mercy Suburban Hospital, said Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele.

Investigators are looking into whether the shooting is related to another recent Norristown homicide.

On Oct. 20, Ryan Ladson-Singleton was found lying on a sidewalk on Green Street. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. A $5,000 reward was offered.

Police and the District Attorney's Office expressed frustration over the lack of information on two other shootings - one Nov. 21 in the 900 block of Polk Alley and the other Nov. 12 in the 600 block of Chain Street. The victims, who survived, and witnesses have not cooperated with police, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Norristown Police Department at 610-270-0977 or the Montgomery County Detective Bureau at 610-278-3368.
