A 19-year-old Montgomery County man was found dead Sunday after being taken from his home at gunpoint.
An autopsy Monday showed that Kareem Ali Borowy died of a gunshot to the back. His death has been ruled a homicide.
According to authorities, several armed suspects entered a home in the 1200 block of Manatawny Street in West Pottsgrove just after 2 p.m. Sunday and demanded money.
Borowy, 19, was taken by the intruders, according to the District Attorney's Office.
Less than a half-hour later, a motorist saw a man, later identified as Borowy, five miles away, lying in the 2100 block of Sanatoga Station Road in Lower Pottsgrove, waving a hand and yelling for help. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the home invasion was not a random act and Borowy was the apparent target of the robbery.
According to public records, Bowery was arrested March 9 and charged with manufacturing, delivery or possession of drugs, conspiracy, and related charges. He posted bail on March 10, and a hearing was recently continued until August, according to court documents.
"Sober life for a while look drugs are cool and all but dam do they [expletive] life's up," Borowy posted on his Facebook page on Feb. 12.
