A pregnant 31-year-old woman was wounded in a triple shooting Wednesday afternoon in North Philadelphia, police said.

Shortly before 4 p.m., gunfire erupted in the 1000 block of West Dakota Street, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The woman was shot in the chest, buttocks, and a leg, Small said. She was rushed by 22d District officers to Temple University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

A 29-year-old man was shot twice in the left arm and twice in the left leg, Small said. He was taken by police to Temple and was reported in stable condition.

The third victim, a 24-year-old woman, suffered a graze wound to a leg, Small said. Police took her to Hahnemann University Hospital, where she was reported in stable condition.

Witnesses said the shots were fired from a silver vehicle going west on Dakota.

Small said that the victims all reside in the neighborhood and that the woman might be five months pregnant.
