Chester city officials to discuss 2014 programs

Public meeting set for Jan. 7

CHESTER City officials have scheduled a hearing for 6 p.m. Jan. 7 to discuss the 2014 annual action plan, the Community Development Block Grant program, and the HOME investment partnerships program.

City Council members are also expected to summarize the five-year strategy of the city's consolidated plan.

The meeting is scheduled to be held in City Council chambers at the Municipal Building on Fourth Street.

According to the city's website, the 2014 Community Development Block Grant program allocation is expected to be approximately $1.2 million, and the HOME program approximately $275,000.

Officials said they intend to submit their annual action plan and application for 2014 funds to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on or about May 9. - Inquirer staff
