Agency on Aging seeks input on yearly budget

DOYLESTOWN The Bucks County Area Agency on Aging will host a public meeting next month to gain feedback on its proposed budget for the next fiscal year, according to county officials.

Bill McTigue, the agency's officer for public affairs, said the idea is to allow citizens to ask questions and offer comments about the budget, which is about $10 million per year.

The agency provides information and services on a range of assistance for older adults and those who care for them. The plan will be presented by the agency before the floor is opened for questions, he said.

Registration is not required, and written comments will also be accepted in advance. Those comments can be sent to Najja R. Orr, 30 E. Oakland Ave., Doylestown, Pa., 18901, or to nrorr@co.bucks.pa.us.

The meeting is scheduled to take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. May 12 at the Bucks County Public Library, on South Pine Street in Doylestown. - Chris Palmer
