BRYN MAWR Bryn Mawr Film Institute will celebrate its grand reopening after a nearly decade-long renovation that doubled the number of screens to four on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

In addition to four new digital screens, the $10 million restoration and expansion of the 1926 building brought a state-of-the-art projection booth, renovated atrium, new marquee, multi-media rooms, and improved restrooms and climate control.

With more than 7,000 members and 860 seats, the theater is the second largest member-supported art house theater in the country, following the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, N.Y.

Along with the formal dedication, the celebration will honor four winners of the international Silver Screen Inspiration Short Film Contest. Each of the four theaters will also feature music, dancing, gourmet food and other fun. For tickets to the celebration, visit www.brynmawrfilm.org.
