A Chester County man has been charged in connection with the shooting Friday of an 8-year-old boy on a bike, authorities said Saturday.
Wayne Snowden, 55, of North Coventry, was charged with aggravated assault. Police said he fired a gun from his porch around 4:50 p.m.
A bullet struck the boy in a thigh, police said. Officers found him near West Main Street and Coyne Alley. He was flown to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was expected to survive.
Police said they found two handguns in Snowden's home. Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan, in a statement Saturday, called Snowden "extraordinarily reckless."
