Veterans can get ID cards for retail discounts

DOYLESTOWN Bucks County's veterans can get free identification cards this weekend that provide discounts to more than 1,000 businesses throughout the county.

The Recorder of Deeds office will be offering the cards on Saturday at the Quakertown Farmers Market on Station Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Sunday, veterans can get IDs in New Hope at the Four Seasons Mall on South Main Street from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Veterans must bring their original DD-214 form. For more information, call 215-348-6209.

Discounts range from 5 percent to 20 percent at various businesses, including law offices, pizza shops and dental offices. A full list of participating businesses can be found on the county website at www.buckscounty.org/government/CommunityServices/MilitaryAffairs.
