BCC to showcase its programs for the community

MOUNT LAUREL Burlington County College will strut its stuff with a hands-on community showcase of several of its programs. The free, all-ages program will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 14 on the Mount Laurel campus.

MOUNT LAUREL Burlington County College will strut its stuff with a hands-on community showcase of several of its programs.

The free, all-ages program will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 14 on the Mount Laurel campus.

"We are very excited to welcome the community and showcase some of the outstanding programs and instruction we offer for community members of all ages - from toddlers in swim classes to adults looking to gain a new career skill or personal enrichment," said interim president David Spang.

Programming will include:

A crime scene set up by the criminal justice program.

Hands-on marine science stations.

Culinary arts demonstrations.

DNA testing on strawberries.

Soccer clinic taught by community college players.

Student research project presentations.

Events will take place inside and outside, weather permitting. There will be music, entertainment, and high-tech science equipment.
