Council set to vote on budget
MEDIA The County Council is expected to vote this week on its 2015 budget.
The budget calls for no tax increase over the 2014 county budget. The proposed $338 million budget would keep the county portion of property tax bills at 5.604 mills. County tax bills have increased in each of the last three years.
"It certainly is a good thing when we can present a no-tax-increase budget," said council member John McBlain. "It take a lot of hard work to get there."
The council held a public hearing on the budget last week and is scheduled to vote on the budget at its meeting Wednesday morning.
