Widener students complete leadership program
CHESTER Five students from Widener University recently completed the LEADERworks certificate program at the school's Oskin Leadership Institute.
To be recognized, the students needed to complete 18 one-hour workshops focusing on leadership topics such as ethical fitness, personal courage, leadership myths and stereotypes, decision-making, and peer leadership. They must also develop and present their own leadership philosophy.
The students are Cassandra Angelo, a sophomore nursing major from Toms River, N.J.; Shijo Benjamin, a junior biochemistry major from Bensalem; Nicole Cavalier, a sophomore nursing major from Burlington; Adrienne Phelps, a sophomore biomedical engineering major from New Ashford, Mass.; and Tyler Virgilio, a sophomore hospitality management major from Glassboro. - Mari A.
