Emergency crews are responding after a pedestrian was struck by a CSX train in Darby this morning.

Delaware County dispatchers said the incident was reported near 6th and Main streets at 8:45 a.m.

Further details, including the condition of the pedestrian who was struck, were not immediately available. Dispatchers said crews remained on the scene and were investigating.

Officials had no immediate information on what happened or what the pedestrian was doing in the track area.

There was no damage to the train, and no crew members were injured, CSX spokesman Rob Doolittle said.

The train was traveling from North Bergen, N.J., to Jacksonville, Fla., he said.
