A 17-year-old boy was killed Christmas Eve after he was struck by two vehicles while crossing a road, Washington Township police said.

A 17-year-old boy was killed Christmas Eve after he was struck by two vehicles while crossing a road, Washington Township police said.

The victim was hit by a Ford Escape and then fell into the street and was struck by a Mack truck that was traveling behind it, the South Jersey Times reported.

Washington Township police said that both vehicles were traveling through the intersection around 5:45 p.m. with a green signal and it was not known why the teenager was in the roadway. Both drivers remained at the scene of the accident and were not injured. No charges had been filed.

The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released. - AP
