Woman shot to death in Eastwick
A 36-year-old woman was fatally shot in the mouth Wednesday afternoon in the Eastwick section of Southwest Philadelphia, police said.
A 36-year-old woman was fatally shot in the mouth Wednesday afternoon in the Eastwick section of Southwest Philadelphia, police said.
The woman's 64-year-old boyfriend was taken into custody to be questioned by homicide detectives, police said. Around 4 p.m. inside a second-floor bedroom of a house in the 2600 block of Muhlfeld Street, a handgun was fired and the woman was struck in the mouth.
The woman was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m., police said. - Robert Moran
