Cloud cover delays flights to PHL

Low cloud cover disrupted flights in and out of Philadelphia International Airport throughout the day Thursday. The FAA has imposed a traffic management program that is delaying some flights headed to PHL by an an average of about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Updated flight information can be found at www.phl.org.

Low cloud cover disrupted flights in and out of Philadelphia International Airport throughout the day Thursday.

The FAA has imposed a traffic management program that is delaying some flights headed to PHL by an an average of about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Updated flight information can be found at www.phl.org.

Low cloud cover also delayed flights to the New York metropolitan area's three major airports and Dulles Airport in Washington.

The delayed arrivals are in turn causing departure delays.

As of 2 p.m., 218 flights to or from Philadelphia have been delayed, according to FlightAware.com. Another 99 flights were canceled.
