Boyds remains closed after tailor shop fire

Boyds clothing store in Center City remained closed Tuesday following a fire in its fifth floor tailor shop.

The store had said Monday that it planned to reopen Tuesday but told customers in an email it now hoped to "in a day or two" after assessing the situation.

The fire broke out early Monday in the tailor shop of the store at 1818 Chestnut St., Boyds said, without providing details about the extent of the damage.
