Teen slain in Mill Creek triple shooting
A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in Philadelphia's Mill Creek section that also left another teenager and a 37-year-old woman wounded.
A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in Philadelphia's Mill Creek section that also left another teenager and a 37-year-old woman wounded.
Officers responding to a report of a person with a gun arrived at Creighton Street and Wyalusing Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Sunday and found the 17-year-old in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body.
The teenager, whose name has not been released, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:38, police said.
Another 17-year-old boy, who was shot in his left thigh, was hospitalized in critical condition.
The third victim, a 37-year-old woman, suffered a graze wound to her right hip, police said. Medics treated her at the scene.
Police said they did not know a motive for the shooting.
They were looking for two suspects. One was described as a man in his mid-20s. The other was described as a woman who was about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black leather coat and blue and white leggings, and carrying a yellow and black book bag.
