Phila. woman dies in N.J. head-on crash
A head-on collision on the Atlantic City Expressway yesterday left one person dead and three people critically injured.
State police identified the deceased as Adriana M. Petaccio-Simiriglio, 41, of Philadelphia. She was the driver of a Daewoo sedan that was traveling east in the westbound lane of the expressway, near exit 38, in Winslow Township, Camden County. The crash occurred at 6:36 a.m. when the car struck a Chevy Tahoe, according to Trooper Kris Arnold. The westbound lanes of the expressway were closed three hours after the accident.
The driver of the Tahoe, Clifford Johnson, 31, of Darby, was flown to Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, where he was in serious condition with extensive injuries. The passengers in the Tahoe were taken by ambulance to Cooper, where they were also listed in serious condition. They are Amber L. Patterson-Jarmin, 31, of Darby, and Krista Jarmin, 25, of Philadelphia. - Jan Hefler
