Bucks ticket just misses Mega Millions jackpot

No one hit Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot, but a Bucks County ticket came close. It won $250,000 for matching the first five numbers — 1, 16, 24, 32 and 48 — but not the Mega Ball of 2.

No one hit Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot, but a Bucks County ticket came close.

It won $250,000 for matching the first five numbers — 1, 16, 24, 32 and 48 — but not the Mega Ball of 2.

The ticket was sold at the Quick Stop on East Walnut Street in Perkasie.

Also winning $250,000 were two New Jersey tickets, sold by Pick It Plus, on West Bay Avenue in Barnegat, Ocean County, and by an A&P on King Georges Road in Basking Ridge, Somerset County.

Michigan also had two tickets that matched five numbers, while Georgia, Illinois and Kentucky had one apiece.

The jackpot for Saturday's drawing rose to $65 million for the annuity, $47 million for the cash.

Tonight's Powerball jackpot is the biggest prize around — $131 million for the annuity, $81.4 million for the cash.
