An article in yesterday's Inquirer about West Nile virus erred in assessing whether mosquito populations were infected. So far this season, none have tested positive for the virus, although some areas have been sprayed with insecticide as a precaution.

The Inquirer wants its news report to be fair and correct in every respect, and regrets when it is not.
