PHOENIX - A 5-year-old girl who was abducted yesterday afternoon while playing with her sisters outside her Phoenix apartment complex has been rescued unharmed.

Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill said Natalie Flores was playing with her two sisters, ages 7 and 9, when a man parked his brown pickup truck in a nearby parking lot and walked over to them carrying a camera.

After taking pictures of the girls, the man forced Natalie into his truck and drove away, Hill said.

An Amber Alert was issued, and authorities began combing the area on foot, by car and with helicopters.

A patrol officer spotted the pickup truck and stopped it after a short pursuit. Hill said Natalie was alive and well.
