Man, 28, pimped forced minor, 2 other women into prostitution

Federal prosecutors yesterday charged a 28-year-old Philadelphia man with three counts of sex trafficking.

FEDERAL PROSECUTORS yesterday charged a Philadelphia man with three counts of sex trafficking, including forcing a minor to engage in sex acts.

Jerel Jackson, 28, operated his prostitution business in the city and elsewhere, the feds say, promoting his business on the website Backpage.com with photos of the scantily clad females.

Jackson is accused of prostituting the minor for nearly a year until last month.

Authorities alleged Jackson collected money after each sexual encounter by the women, and would sometimes strip-search or choke the women to ensure they weren't holding back cash.
