A man accused of jumping the White House fence left a suicide note with friends and a will with his mother, court documents show. Joseph Caputo, 22, of Stamford, Conn., was ordered to undergo a psychiatric valuation Friday, a day after his arrest.
Caputo, charged with one count of illegal entry onto restricted grounds, did not enter a plea during his court appearance Friday.
According to the documents, two friends with whom Caputo had been staying in Virginia gave the Secret Service a note Caputo wrote stating his intention to die Thursday. Caputo's mother gave the agency a "last will and testament" he had written and played an audio message in which he tells her she may not see him again, the documents state. - AP
