At least one emergency responder with the Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter of the American Red Cross will depart for Oklahoma to aid victims of the tornadoes that ripped through suburbs of Oklahoma City Tuesday, a Red Cross spokesman said.

Those in the Philadelphia region with family and friends in Oklahoma are also able to search for victims through the Red Cross' "Safe and Sound" website, which tracks displaced victims as they enter Red Cross shelters.

"Safe and Well is very helpful in the aftermath of a disaster like what's hit Oklahoma City when phones are down and communication is difficult," Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter spokesman Dave Schrader said in an email.

Schrader said a mental health supervisor from Philadelphia will leave for Oklahoma on Wednesday morning.
