An admitted mobster was sentenced Friday to 51 months in federal prison for his part in a racketeering conspiracy, prosecutors said.

U.S. District Judge Eduardo C. Robreno also ordered that Gaeton Lucibello, 59, of Philadelphia, serve three years of supervised release and pay a $7,500 fine. Lucibello pleaded guilty last month to racketeering involving extortion and illegal gambling.

Lucibello, a former ironworker, was one of 14 reputed Philadelphia mobsters charged with crimes including loan sharking, witness tampering, extortion, illegal gambling, and theft from an employee benefit plan. Two codefendants, Martin Angelina and Louis Barretta, have also pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy. - Inquirer staff
