A drug dealer who supplied cocaine to the Camden gang called the "MOB Boys" was sentenced yesterday to 61/2 years in a federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

U.S. District Judge Freda L. Wolfson also ordered Charles Nicholson, 41, of Camden, to pay a $3,000 fine for his part in the organization that moved kilos of cocaine through Camden, where business was swift in open-air markets.

Nicholson was one of at least 20 members arrested in May 2006 when federal authorities announced they had dismantled the organization - Middle of the Block Boys - that sold crack in the 1200 block of Morton Street for nearly a decade.

Last year, one of the gang leaders was sentenced to 30 years for running the operation. Nicholson pleaded guilty to conspiracy in December 2007. - Barbara Boyer
