Police have arrested a Fern Rock man who they said fired a stray bullet that killed a West Philadelphia youth football coach as he was getting dressed for work two years ago.

Police have arrested a Fern Rock man who they said fired a stray bullet that killed a West Philadelphia youth football coach as he was getting dressed for work two years ago.

Police said Edwin Collazo, 25, of the 6300 block of North 10th Street, was charged this week with the murder of Charles Baldwin, 42, on April 6, 2007.

Baldwin was in his second-story bedroom in the 5800 block of Pine Street when a bullet pierced a window and struck him in the back of the head shortly before 11 p.m., police said.

Baldwin, who was engaged to be married, coached the West Philadelphia Tarheels. - Robert Moran
