N.J. nuclear plant back to full power
LACEY TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Normal operations resumed yesterday at the nation's oldest commercial nuclear-power plant. The Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in Ocean County had been operating at reduced at about half capacity since Tuesday while a leaking pipe was repaired.

Crews also inspected seven aluminum pipes that pass through the turbine building wall and found no problems.
Soil samples showed that condensation water leaking from a 25-foot section of underground pipe contained small amounts of tritium, a naturally occurring radioactive form of hydrogen.
A plant spokesman and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission said there was no danger to workers or the public.
Oyster Creek, which opened in December 1969, produces about 9 percent of New Jersey's electricity.
