Woman charged with fatally stabbing boyfriend

Police charged a woman yesterday with stabbing her boyfriend to death in their South Philadelphia home.

Sylvia Johnson, 53, was arrested shortly after police discovered the body of Rory Wallace, 50, on Sunday afternoon.

Wallace was found in the couple's home in the 2300 block of Reed Street in the city's Point Breeze section. He had been stabbed in the chest. He was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m.

Johnson was charged with murder and possessing an instrument of crime. - Allison Steele
