A Delaware County woman pleaded guilty yesterday in U.S. District Court to robbing two local banks.

Thomasina Precious Trent, 25, of Chester, was indicted in September along with codefendant Deshawn Dominique Rogers, also of Chester, on bank robbery and related charges. Rogers pleaded guilty in October and is awaiting sentencing.

During July, the two robbed a branch of TD Bank in Boothwyn and a Brookhaven branch of First Keystone Bank, according to court documents. Rogers first cased the inside of the banks. Trent then entered the banks and handed the tellers notes demanding money.

The two later were apprehended by Ridley Township police during a traffic stop. When police showed Trent photos from the bank, she identified herself and Rogers. - Mari A. Schaefer
