Jacqueline Cappelli, wife of Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr., was arrested in Collingswood Friday and charged with vandalizing her husband's car, Police Chief Richard Sarlo said yesterday.

She was charged with criminal mischief and released on her own recognizance, the police chief said.

Jacqueline Cappelli last night disputed the chief's comments, saying she was not charged but did talk to detectives. She said the couple is divorcing. Camden County spokeswoman Joyce Gabriel said Louis Cappelli would not comment. He did not return a call yesterday. - James Osborne
