In the midst of a financial crisis for this year and next, the Camden finance director has resigned, a city official said yesterday.

There was no immediate replacement for Joseph Galdo, a former assistant deputy mayor in Philadelphia who was hired to handle Camden's budgetary woes, according to Christine T.J. Tucker, city business administrator.

Another top city official, Assistant City Attorney Felix Gonzalez, also is no longer working for the city, Tucker said. She characterized his departure as a "separation."
