Strong winds knock out power to 30,000 homes

By 6 a.m. Sunday, about 6,000 customers throughout the city and Pennsylvania suburbs were still without power, said Fred Mayer, a spokesman for Peco Energy Co.

In New Jersey, 1,800 customers remained without power Sunday morning, said Lee Gray, a spokeswoman for PSE&G.

Officials said they expected all customers to have power restored by 12:01 a.m. Monday. - Joelle Farrell
