Christie nominates actor, ex-pitcher for panel

TRENTON - A former major league pitcher and an actor from The Sopranos are among Gov. Christie's nominees for the New Jersey Hall of Fame Advisory Commission. The pitcher is Al Leiter, a Toms River native who played for the New York Yankees and Mets, among others, during a 19-year big-league career. Leiter, 44, is a baseball analyst with the MLB Network and YES Network. The actor is Vincent Curatola, 56, of Upper Saddle River, who played Johnny "Sack" Sacramoni in the HBO gangster drama. - AP
