Police seek man who shot BBs at people in Montco

Police are looking for a man in a white van who has been shooting BBs at people, an Abington School District official warned parents Friday. In a letter to parents and guardians, Superintendent Amy F. Sichel said Abington Township police reported that an adult was struck with a BB near the intersection of Highland and Mount Carmel Avenues in Glenside. Another shooting was reported later in the Wyndmoor section of Springfield Township, where a Springfield High School student walking to school was hit. Neither injury was believed to be serious, Sichel said. Video cameras recorded a white 1993 Ford van with no side windows. - Bonnie L. Cook
