A two-alarm fire Wednesday afternoon at an auto-parts shop brought as many as 80 firefighters to Radnor to battle the blaze in triple-digit heat.
The fire started before 1 p.m. in a building in the 300 block of West Lancaster Avenue that houses the auto-parts shop, a paint distributor, and a dance studio.
The fire spread along the outside walls to the roof, Radnor Fire Chief Jim Kelly said. Firefighters worked in short bursts, as the heat made the task exhausting. The fire was extinguished within 45 minutes. The cause was under investigation. No one was reported injured. - Joelle Farrell
